Mrs. Norhayati Mohd Jali was a former national track and field athlete. She graduated from MARA University of Technology (Dip. Sports Science) in 2003. She pursued her studies in Bsc (Hons.) of Physiotherapy in 2004 – 2008 at National University of Malaysia (UKM). After graduating as a physiotherapist, she worked at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur from 2008 – 2013 gaining experience in various field of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurology. Later she joined National Sports Institute of Malaysia in Bukit Jalil as a sports physiotherapist since 2013 until today. Currently she is the head of high performance physiotherapy medical team.

She is a registered member under the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA) and has obtained qualification in Gyrotonic Expansion System, Anatomy Trains, Integrated Manual Therapy for Thoracic Spine and Rib Cage, Dry Needling, Functional Fascial Taping and Rock Tape and World Rugby Level 1 course.

Throughout her journey at National Sports Institute of Malaysia, she has had the chance to be part of the medical cover team for national athletes for netball team in Singapore, World Junior Athletic Championship, Poland and Oceania Waterski Championship in New Zealand as well as other local meets.

 

 Apart from that she has had the experience of supervising student locally and internationally undergoing their practical training since 2010to present and has been part of a collaborative research team of psychology and physiotherapy at the National Sports Institute of Malaysia.
