Mrs. Faezah is currently the Head of Sports Rehabilitation Department under the Sports Medicine Division, at the Institute and her main task is to make sure the effectiveness in sports injury rehabilitation, recovery and prevention program for all Malaysian athletes under the National Sports Institute of Malaysia (NSI) care towards the optimal client centered care services. She graduated from Mara University of Technology (UiTM) Malaysia in 2001 and has been working withNational Sports Institute (NSI) until today. She pursues her studies in BSc. AppliedRehab (Physiotherapy), University of Teesside (UK) in 2007.
Mrs. Faezah was a former Malaysia Netball Player and her interest in sports and excitement to serve the national athletes and sports related injury continuous. Her own experience going through injuries and undergone ACL reconstruction knee surgery and rehabilitation, has lead her to have a better understanding on athletes psychological, emotions and motivation towards the rehabilitation processes. The biggest challenges as an injured athlete, is to bounce back and regain confidence and performance after a long period of recovery.
Mrs. Faezah has have been serving the national athletes for more than 18 years and the passion continues. She has vast experience working at National Sports Institute with Sports Medicine Specialist, Orthopedic Surgeons, Sports Medicine team and Sports Scientist in making sure that all athletes under her care receivesholisticmusculoskeletal treatmentapproach.She enjoyed working with all national athletes across all sports especially the team event. She attached with the National Netball Players since 2002 – 2016. Moreover she has been entrusted by the National Sports Institute to be the Malaysia Physiotherapistfor Commonwealth Games 2002 & 2006, Asian Games 2010, SEA Games 2003, 2005, 2007, 2015, 2017, Youth Olympics Games 2009, Asian Youth 2013, Deaflympics Games 2005, World Netball Championship 2007, 2011, World Youth Netball 2009 and Asian Netball Championship 2014.
With her experience, knowledge and skills, she was appointed by Mara University of Technology (UiTM) to be a supervisor for Degree and Diploma Physiotherapy Program under the university. Besides, she is also active in presenting topic of sports injury and rehabilitation at national level.She used to be a volunteer Physiotherapist for Bukit Jalil Sports School Netball team as part of her community contribution effort, sharing experience and expertise to the grass root level.
